What am I doing here?

If you asked me two months ago why I was coming to St John’s, my answer would have been simple:
“I am coming here to study.”

However, the beauty of St John’s is not that simple…

Being here is about formation
It’s about community
It’s about taking time out to stop and observe and learn
It’s about taking time to understand
It’s about sitting in a dark chapel at 9pm
It’s about discussing theological matters over overcooked mince at lunch
It’s about cracking jokes over overcooked mince at lunch
It’s about making friends with people that I may otherwise have never talked to
Being here is a gift

And along the way I study…
